Job Description:
Project Manager – Organizational Reorganization Service Delivery
We are seeking a Project Manager to support organizational reorganization and transition activities. This role involves coordinating changes to structures, programs, services, and personnel resulting from shifts in organizational priorities or business plans.
Scope
Projects will include investigating, analyzing, and coordinating Information Management and Technology (IMT) changes required when departments undergo name changes or when programs, services, and staff move between organizational areas. Key technical streams include:
- Information Management migrations: record transfers, metadata preservation, compliance considerations, and SharePoint/shared drive migrations
- User migrations: updating access, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, and identity management alignment
- Application migrations: updating applications to reflect new structures, renaming entities, and coordinating website changes
- Infrastructure migrations: workstation, server, database, or printer moves supporting realignment
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver IT projects from initiation through completion, including timelines, task assignments, and progress tracking
- Maintain effective working relationships with project teams, vendors, and cross‑departmental partners
- Prepare project charters, business plans, and risk assessments to ensure objectives and data integrity are achieved
- Document business requirements and deliver IT solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Develop recommendations including resource requirements, dependencies, and policy implications
- Produce and package deliverables for presentation to internal teams and stakeholders
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring governance and communication are maintained
- Provide clear, timely progress updates and prepare status reports for senior management
- Collaborate with leadership to develop project plans outlining objectives, scope, assumptions, timelines, resources, risks, benefits, and budgets
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage risks, and ensure client satisfaction
- Lead change management and communication planning to support project success
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- University graduation in business, management, or related discipline, and four years of Project Management experience; OR
- Two‑year diploma in business, management, or related discipline and six years of Project Management experience; OR
- One‑year certificate in business, management, or related discipline and seven years of Project Management experience; OR
- Eight years of Project Management experience
Additional requirements:
- Experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders (6 years)
- Experience developing project deliverables including charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, closures, dashboards (8 years)
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently (8 years)
- Experience with organizational reorganization projects involving IMT changes (3 years)
- Experience conducting and interpreting impact and risk assessments (8 years)
- Experience coordinating information management/technology initiatives across organizations and vendors (3 years)
- Experience leading and facilitating stakeholder meetings (8 years)
- Experience leading change management and communication planning (8 years)
- Experience leading custom software application development projects following a formal project life cycle methodology (5 years)
- Experience providing leadership with knowledge of stakeholders, business functions, and informational requirements (5 years)
- Experience working as a Project Manager on large, complex custom software application development projects (5 years)
- Experience working within organizations of equivalent size and complexity (3 years)
